Internships
The Presbyterian Church in Canada's Peace and Human Security Internship Program
The Presbyterian Church in Canada and Project Ploughshares invite applications for the next internship beginning September 2012 and ending April 2013.
A stipend will be provided to the intern.
Applicants must be members or adherents of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, and have completed a post-secondary degree in political science, international studies, communications, journalism or a related discipline.

The Presbyterian Church in Canada established a Peace and Human Security Internship Program with Project Ploughshares for Presbyterian university graduates in 2007.
Adam Parsons was the first participant in this program in 2007-2008, followed by Laura Ashfield the following year. Click here to watch an interview of Adam discussing the internship.
Melanie Ferrier, our most recent intern, completed her internship in April 2011. Melanie holds a BA in Political Science from McMaster University and gained field experience in Bangladesh, where she taught English and assisted local organizations in preparing reports on their programs and operations.
This program is made possible through undesignated bequest gifts to The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
Armed Conflicts Report Internship Program
In collaboration with Wilfrid Laurier University’s Global Studies program and the University of Waterloo’s Peace and Conflict Studies program, Project Ploughshares offers third- and fourth-year university students the opportunity to work on developing the annually compiled Armed Conflicts Report.
Each year, students are selected to conduct research on current armed conflicts. The internships are unpaid and run for the duration of the winter term (January to April).
The program is open only to students enrolled at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo.
