IGLOO is an online research portal created by the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), located in Waterloo. IGLOO pools high quality information, knowledge, and ideas from around the world related to international governance and provides it over the web in one centralized location.
CIGI has teamed with partner organizations, including Project Ploughshares, the Academic Council of the United Nations System (ACUNS), and the North-South Institute to make IGLOO a global information and collaboration tool that will enable and strengthen the sharing of information and research with partners regardless of geographic location. Project Ploughshares will use IGLOO to collaborate with partners in Central and South America, the US, the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa on projects related to small arms control, space security, support for the Sudan peace process, and regional security in the Horn of Africa.
